November's election could change makeup of JCPS board

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - November's election could change the face of the Jefferson County Public School Board. Four of the seven seats are up for re-election.

Parents have hammered school officials complaints about the student assignment plan and busing debacle that left hundreds of kids in limbo. On top of that, board members approved a tax hike Monday night - at the same meeting where many angry parents voiced their complaints.

Parents say that's another slap in the face.

This fallout could have political consequences, and the upcoming election could be an important ones for the school board and parents - many of whom are furious and well aware that the only way to change things is to elect new school officials.
